About Monitum

Monitum Ltd was started by Nick McGrane in 2000 after a number of roles in the financial services industry. Firstly working for a Dublin firm of Chartered Accountants focusing mainly on personal taxation, then hedge fund accounting for Gilbert De Botton’s Private Bank, GAM. Next it was off to HSBC Asset Management in the City of London dealing with institutional clients. Finally Nick ran the day to day stock lending for the then in-house managed £3.5Bn Lucas Pension Trust. A member of the Society of Technical Analysts (MSTA) he is a user of advanced techniques in traded options. He holds the Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA) designation.

The firm does not consider the adverse, nor positive impacts of investment decisions on sustainability, as the totality of the exercise is too large and ever changing to be measured accurately and thus could be misleading.
